On the 8th of August our team and young people are going on a sponsored walk down the Itchen Navigation to raise money for young carers.
It’s been a difficult couple of years for us all, and it’s been especially tough for our Young Carers. Many young carershave experienced an increase in their role as carers, whilst opportunities for respite away from their roles have dwindled.
On the 6th August, a group of young carers, staff and volunteers will be walking 11 miles of the Itchen navigation in an effort to raise much needed funds to help young carers navigate their caring roles post-covid.
Could you sponsor us?
You can donate £2, £5, £10 or an amount of your choice. All would be much appreciated by our young carers and would help to boost morale.
Here is the link to donate via virgin money (it’s very easy to do!) or you can pop a cheque made payable to Young Carers and post it into One Community, 75 Leigh Road, Eastleigh SO50 9DQ or cash clearly labelled in an envelope.
All funds raised will contribute to outdoor activities and equipment for our young people to have respite and be nurtured.
Let’s show our young carers that their community sees them!
