Supporting VE Day

by Jenni Bevis-Lacey

One Community Supporting the VE 75 Celebrations

On Wednesday 6 May we were asked to be part of an Eastleigh Borough Council initiative – a collective effort among the Eastleigh Coronavirus Support Support hub in Eastleigh – to get party fare to care homes across the borough to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Our community transport team scheduled deliveries for Thursday afternoon on our minibuses and half a dozen of our CV Response volunteers went out to shop for every bodies party favourites.

Pictured are David and Sally Lloyds out doing volunteer shopping.

We were delighted to do this as part of our CV Response work. If you are need of shopping, prescriptions or someone to phone and have a chat, let us know on 023 8090 2400 or info@1community.org.uk

Volunteers Week 2019 A BIG THANK YOU!

by Jenni Bevis-Lacey

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I should like to thank all our wonderful volunteers who support those who use our services. Whether your voluntary role brings you into face contact with people, you work behind the scenes, help with fundraising, marketing or research or if you are one of the many partners of our volunteers supporting them to give their time to One Community – a huge thank you. Without you we could not do the things we do, or maintain the consistency, reliability and standard and thereby together we make a difference to the lives of many people.
Many thanks,

Adrian

We are an independent charity that takes Gift Aid.

by Jenni Bevis-Lacey

Because we run so many excellent services and supports for the communities around Eastleigh and Fareham, sometimes it is easy to forget we are the best local charity to support.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, supporters and staff and those who help fund our work including those groups, organisations and individuals that finance our work.

The Eastleigh Mayor has chosen the One Community Visiting scheme as one of his charities to support this year.

Would you like to give us a one off donation or a regular amount of money to help us continue supporting people in our community lead fulfilling, independent lives?

You can donate easily via mobile phone, or email us for details info@1community.org.uk
Pop in and see us in our Eastleigh office, Eastleigh Museum or Fareham Shop.

If you do, please have a look at this form. It is for gift aid. If you pay tax, (which includes people on ESA and certain other allowances) you can give money to us and the government will give us more.
