International Women’s Day 2022

by Jenni Bevis-Lacey

At One Community we are celebrating international women’s day today and have chosen to champion local woman Clare, who has been part of the Eastleigh Borough Council, #thisgirlcan initiative.

She is a freelance artist in the locality and is now a keen part of the walking netball team.

Read all about her here.

Hampshire Cultural Trust are marking the day by offering a lot of different days and courses aimed at women throughout Hampshire, including Eastleigh and Fareham areas. Here

International Women’s Day- This Girl Can!

by Jenni Bevis-Lacey

Today is International Women’s Day and marks one year since the launch of This Girl Can Eastleigh. Eastleigh Borough Council launched the campaign to encourage more women locally to lead a healthy active lifestyle. Local women from Eastleigh have become campaign champions and have shared their journeys about becoming more active. Over 300 women have engaged with the campaign through a programme of beginners courses and taster sessions. We’re proud to show our support for the campaign.
