Eastleigh Flourish Shop

Have you spotted some new goings on at the Flourish shop in Eastleigh?

YES! It is us setting up a new volunteer and community centre in there and we need is a enthusiastic and capable person to run it.

We will also be looking for volunteers to gift some time to help in the shop day to day.

International Women’s Day 2022

At One Community we are celebrating international women’s day today and have chosen to champion local woman Clare, who has been part of the Eastleigh Borough Council, #thisgirlcan initiative.

She is a freelance artist in the locality and is now a keen part of the walking netball team.

Hampshire Cultural Trust are marking the day by offering a lot of different days and courses aimed at women throughout Hampshire, including Eastleigh and Fareham areas. Here

Young Carers say: ‘Thank You!’

Thanks to the generous donations from the community of Eastleigh that have donated through various drop off points in the town Shopmobility, The Eastleigh Museum and Dial A Ride.

Also sending thanks to the I4 projects business in Chandlers Ford.

We were able to provide 35 families in need with festive hampers.

As well as 100 selection boxes for our Christmas party!

Tackle loneliness with us this Big Give day.

We know many people struggle with the effects of isolation and loneliness.

Watch our short film explaining the problem and what we are looking to do to change things.

Christmas Lights, Eastleigh and Fareham.

Loneliness, Christmas Tea Appeal

We know many people in Eastleigh and Fareham have struggled with isolation and loneliness this past year in particular.

To cheer them right up we are holding a Christmas Tea for them at Eastleigh Museum to meet one another and enjoy a bit of festive cheer.

Local TWYNAMS Charities looking for 2 new trustees.

Twynams Charities are looking for volunteers to fill the vacant positions on our their Trustee Team.

They are looking for people who can consider the big picture and who have good independent judgement and useful knowledge and skills.


Twynam’s Charities were established between 1630 & 1840 for the ‘Relief of Need’ in residents of Bishopstoke, Fair Oak & Horton Heath. The Charity is run by a Team of voluntary Trustees, with advice from a paid Clerk who carries out day-to-day management of the charities assets.


The charity owns five rented properties in Fair Oak Square. Surplus funds, are distributed at the discretion of the Trustees in line with the Charity’s stated objectives.
All Trustees must have a connection with the communities of Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath.

Experience of financial management or empathy with the needs of low income families and individuals is also highly desirable.

The deadline for applications will be Monday 15th November with the intention of appointing new Trustees by Monday 20th December.
