Cerebral Palsy Day is an social movement and a day to celebrate and affirm the lives of the 17 million people living with cerebral palsy (CP). The project was launched in 2012 by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (Australia) and United Cerebral Palsy (USA). It is supported by over 450 cerebral palsy service organisations, universities, parent groups, research institutions, student groups, schools and children’s hospitals from 65 countries.
There is an award ceremony and here is a short film about it.
At One Community we support people with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities in our area.
If you have a disability please don’t let it stop you volunteering with us in Eastleigh or Fareham. We will help you get the right placement to enjoy and be supported in if necessary. If you want to set up and run a community group we can help you with this and also with transport needs.
