STEVE SMITH says:
‘I came to do volunteer driving with transport and couldn’t help because of my job at the time so it was suggested perhaps to try Lifeline & there was a vacancy. I have been with One Community for about seven years.
I was taken out by Dill, (lifeline manager) to install a couple of lifeline panic alarms then knew what to do. You need time, patience, understanding of situations you are going into.
All jobs are different and vary from one client to another. I receive an email from the office with a referral and I then contact the client or their family to arrange it to be fitted or a demonstration. Most of the time the client wants to talk about a lost loved one or other members of family.
I definitely recommend it because it helps people & it’s always nice to meet new people. Gives me great satisfaction that I am helping to provide a service that gives peace of mind to client and family.’
