Contribute a Christmas Tree to our Community Christmas Tree Festival
Theme: Upcycling
23 November 2019 to 4 January 2020
Eastleigh Museum, 25 High Street, Eastleigh SO50 5LF
Not-for-profit organisations are invited to contribute a Christmas tree to our Community Christmas Tree Festival in the gallery at Eastleigh Museum, 23 November to 4 January. Set up on Thursday 21 November and Friday 22 November, take down on Monday 6 January.
The concept of “Christmas tree” is open to all manner of creative interpretation! What we’re looking for is a tree that expresses the essence of your organisation. We’ve had a library Christmas tree created from books, a food bank Christmas tree created from food cans and a brickworks museum tree created from bricks! This is an opportunity to let your imagination run riot. This year our theme is upcycling, to focus on environmental concerns and the re-purposing of what might otherwise be discarded.
The festival will create a magical festive spectacle while providing the opportunity to promote the work of your organisation (there will be an accompanying information panel). Entry is free, both for participants and visitors. Booking forms are available by calling 023 8090 2458 or volunteer@1community.org.uk
The theme this year is upcycling.
We are really excited to see your creations, if you are a charity a not for profit or a community group.
Here is some inspiration from last years beauties-
Here is the tree from Headway.
This tree was from Boyatt Wood.
So a diverse bunch! So please be as whacky as your imaginations allow.
